Leeds-based pop princess Holly Rolfe is the first addition to Lillie’s artist’s interviews, and what an artist she is! It was a pleasure to interview such an emerging sensation amongst us pop fans. Lately, Holly has made some huge waves and isn’t planning on slowing down just yet!
What Style Of Music Do You Make?
Holly is a mainstream pop artist, covering everything from heartfelt ballads to break-up hits. Never afraid to tell it like it is, Holly’s music takes you on a journey through time – and if you’re a fan of smooth backing vocals and silky vibrato, you’ll find your new favourite song in her discography.
What’s Your Background In Music?
“I began in musical theatre and only recently transitioned into being a full-time pop artist!”
Holly’s ability to pour emotion into lyrics stems from her background in musical theatre, which is reflected in her soulful lower register and her tear-jerking falsettos. Her energy and love of movement make her all the more electric on stage, no wonder Holly’s fanbase enjoys her live gigs!
What’s your biggest achievement so far?
“Supporting Cian Ducrot at The Piece Hall in Halifax, Summer 2024!”
Cian, alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Griff, is one of Holly’s biggest inspirations. When I asked her about this in the interview, she stated that ‘he’s incredible’ and a dream collaboration of hers. What a magical moment being able to support your idol on stage!
Single Spotlight
Holly’s latest single “Still Breathing” is an upbeat track about heartbreak and personal growth. This single is nothing short of a summer pop anthem, and is perfect for those evening drives while the sun goes down. Everything from the groove to the lyrics encapsulates you, as you are carried through a story full of lies and betrayal. This is definitely one for those who have been hurt before and came out the other side stronger!

Keeping in with the mainstream pop vibe, Holly recommends the beautifully whitty Sabrina Carpenter album that we’re all obsessed with: “Short & Sweet (Deluxe)”. Playful and addictive, perhaps we can be expecting a similar vibe from Holly’s next release too!
What’s Next?
“My headline gig, and maybe some new releases…”
On the 28th of May, Holly has a headline gig at Hyde Park Book Club where she plans to throw a prom for those who never had one and those who can’t wait to relive the memories! Be sure to show up in your best dresses and finest suits, and prepare to dance the night away. But that’s not all, as Holly also teases some new music coming our way sometime soon!
