Foxglove Riot are an Earth-based melodic glitch duo, comprised of musicians Sam Hodgson and David Jordan from the psychedelic folk band Samh. They use time-ripping rhythms, samples from intergalactic transmissions, and melodies written by various humanoid species to create music that you might expect to hear on a forest moon. Always odd, occasionally comical, and at times beautiful.
With Foxglove Riot, Sam and Dave express their diverse musical sensibilities through a more digital medium, complete with head-nodding trip hop breaks. Their hypnotic instrumental beat, Subterranean Garlic, was definitely one of the weirdest and most unique tracks featured on Highest Frequency Vol.2.
