Canoe Club was the moniker of producer Patrick Flint. At the age of 13 Patrick remixed Lord Of The Rings samples using Garageband. As he grew in age and taste he became influenced by Jungle, Drum & Bass, and other forms of soundsystem music emanating from his hometown, Bristol.
Patrick created the Huddersfield based electronic music label, Birkhouse Recordings. His future plans are to “make people dance and generally enjoy myself at every given opportunity.”
His oldschool Jungle / Drum & Bass roller, A Tale of Two Cities was featured on Highest Frequency Vol. 1.
“I think pigeon holing someone’s creativity is the most destructive thing a label could do.”
