Here at Saving Grace, we believe that the most powerful art is born from truth, resilience, and real-world connection. Today marks a monumental milestone for our roster as we proudly present the worldwide premiere of Savvy’s deeply moving short film, accompanying his upcoming project, Where We Come From – The Remix.
For those who have followed Savvy’s journey—from his roots here in Huddersfield to his ancestral home in Carriacou—you know this release represents something far greater than a standard single rollout.

Life Imitating Art
When Savvy first penned Where We Come From, it was conceived as a vibrant celebration of dual heritage, via an earest soulful hip hop banger. But in an unforgettable twist of fate, the original campaign was brought to a halt on launch day when Category 5 Hurricane Beryl devastated Carriacou.
Plans changed. Music shifted from an entertainment product to a lifeline.
Rather than sweeping the tragedy under the rug, Savvy redirected his focus entirely to ground-level relief, solidarity, and recovery. The short film dropping today captures that raw, unfiltered reality. It is a visual deep-dive into the intersection of disaster and sound, exploring how a community picks up the pieces and how art becomes a vessel for healing.

Inside the Project
The film features insights into the recording sessions that brought the Where We Come From remix to life, uniting Huddersfield born R&B standout Ruby Wood (First Word Records, Submotion Orchestra), Grenada’s SammO, the incredible voices of The Children of Harvey Vale School (Carriacou), alongside a powerhouse secessionists Rod Mason & Emanuel Allert.
It’s a story of unbreakable spirit—what locals proudly call the “Kayak Spirit.”
