Sam Hodgson (aka Samh) is a British folk songwriter and researcher based in West Yorkshire. His most recent research project, aptly named ‘Songs of Place’ applies the techniques of some of the world’s great songwriters to songs about Huddersfield and its surrounding villages.
Ten songs of place were written about the area and recorded in the places they were written about. Four of these tracks are available from October 2022 on limited edition CD and lyric book.
